This cartoon was originally titled 'Not Missing' and then changed to 'Have You seen Me?'
Congresswoman Lois Capps is the representative for our district. Lois' husband was elected to Congress and unfortunately passed away while in office. Lois decided to run and was elected to serve in his place. When she was running for election she signed a pledge with a group (USTL) that was promoting term limits. She agreed to serve a maximun of 3 terms and accepted a $150,000.00 campaign contribution from this organization. Lois is now in her 6th term and in that time has had ONE bill enacted.
This cartoon won the 2008 BEST ORIGINAL EDITORIAL CARTOON award from the NATIONAL NEWSPAPER ASSOCIATION for non-daily newspapers, circulation of 10,000 (or so!)
